Nature Gates
If you take a walk or bike ride in the Reuselse Staatsbossen near 'De Cirkels' you will hear that tourists in particular often wonder how the idea of these circular forest drives ever got here. The answer is quite simple. It was a playful official with too much or too little imagination.
Who's to say who created this curiosity. According to my spokesman (former mayor Willekens ) he got the idea in Paris. A trip to Paris in the twenties, and even in the thirties, was a great rarity. The civil servant in question was so impressed that he drew a piece of Paris in the Reuselse Heide, because the forest still had to be "planned" at that time.
The tavern is located in an extensive tourist area where there is plenty to do. There is a running track right across from D'n Ouwe Brandtoren. Alongside the tavern, the beekeepers association has a bee information room and a bee garden that is freely accessible. In the vicinity are several hiking, cycling, ATB and equestrian routes. All this makes that
this area is labeled as Brabant Nature Gate. A Nature Gate gives access to the most beautiful spots in the Brabant countryside.
Each Nature Gate is located in beautiful green surroundings, has a catering facility and ample parking. A Nature Gate is also part of the cycling and hiking route network and the ideal starting point to actively and leisurely discover, experience and experience the Brabant nature.

Furthermore, the possibilities regarding the use of the surrounding area have been expanded. The new Outdoor Park with its 26-meter-high new Fire Tower and various rope courses is a good example of this. The construction of the Keimennekespad on the grounds of D'n Ouwe Brandtoren also contributes to strengthening the recreational appeal.
In Nature Gate the Brandtoren, we work closely with Outdoorpark Reusel, BoukeSport, Ice Farm Fabor, Beekeepers Association Sint Ambrosius, Municipality of Reusel-de Mierden and VisitBrabant.
